AVANTI (FIELDS TO LONGTON) SCENARIO | |
Scenario Features and Goals:
- Large, highly detailed map
- Five territories to conquer
- Smoothed but hilly terrain challenges you to connect to Fields
- Two computer players to add interest
- Several choice driven event lines
- Some of the game's objectives are presented during the game, making it a bit more exciting than getting all your objectives up-front in the briefing.
- Game begins in 1848 and you must achieve all objectives by 1901
- Intermediate difficulty

General Gameplay Tips:
I tested this scenario very thoroughly, however there may be some glitched I am unaware of. If you discover any feel free to let me know on the Bug Report page.
The goals of the scenario are:
- Connect Fields to Longton by 1901
- Also meet all the intermediate objectives presented during the game for Silver
- Do all the above plus have a personal net worth of at least $10 million
Cambota seems to be one of the best places to start the scenario depending on the distribution of resources. You can generally connect to either Patria or Becht to get a healthy base going then start branching out. No matter what I did I usually ended up making a circuit with a line between Cambota and Patria then running Patria > Urmbra > Martinari > Stellarton and Stellarton/Simisva line that branched off going down the hill on the other side to complete the circuit > Deharva > Ericarta > Gregoria > Cambota. By the end of game I also inevitably linked the middle Gregoria > Martinari. This seemed to be logical no matter where I started. I also started with Stellarton/Simisva and in several other spots on the map.
Hint: You should think about connecting to Fields as one of your first big challenges. To get there though you'll need lots of resources (as in: Money).
